How to record your own subliminal mp3

February 21st, 2010
If you are practicing the Law of Attraction, you would probably know the importance of sending messages to your subconscious mind. While I am not totally convinced that subliminal mp3s will “get the message across” to your subconscious mind, I figured there’s no harm trying… Well, and since I’m feeling bored on a Sunday afternoon, I decided to record one myself…. For Windows users like me, here’s how you can do it…
What you need:
  1. A microphone
  2. Sound Recorder Program (Comes with Windows OS by default. Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Sound Recorder)
  3. Wma to mp3 converter (Don’t worry, it’s free!!! http://www.wma-mp3.org/)
  4. Audacity (Another great freeware. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/beta_windows)
Steps:
  1. First, you need to write your affirmation statement.  (duh?)
  2. Then connect your mic to your computer and launch the Sound Recorder program. Record the affirmation statement and save it as a wma file.
  3. Because the sound recorder program only allows you to record wma files, you need to convert the recording to mp3 format for use in Audacity. Launch the wma to mp3 converter program to convert your recording into mp3. The program is pretty user-friendly, so just play around with it a bit to figure out how it works.
  4. Launch Audacity. Click File > Import to import your recording.
  5. Next, import another music track that you want to overlay your affirmation recording with. Personally, I like music that can energize me. Try searching for “motivation music” at http://mp3.sogou.com/?p=40030200&kw= for these tracks if you do not have any. This is a Chinese site, but it does display the search results in English… So no worries if you can’t read Chinese.
  6. After you have imported the two files, you can play around with the program to add some effects to your sound tracks.

  7. Once you are satisfied with your end product, you can export it to a mp3 file (File > Export).Note: if you choose to export as mp3, you need to download the “Lame Mp3 encoder” file (oppss… not being rude here… the file is really known “Lame encoder”). I found it too troublesome and chose to export my file as a wav file instead. Converted it to a mp3 file using the mp3 converter mentioned above.
That’s all, sweet and easy. No need to pay money to purchase any subliminal mp3s… especially when you don’t even know the actual message encoded. Anyway, have fun :)
